Default Issue with Driver Power Window Function

Hey all Happy Friday!

Back again with another issue for my 2010 LR2 HSE

My driver front window does not want to stay up when I send the window up into its closed position.

I took a quick video to try and help explain my situation.

Is it the power window motor? Regulator? Wire Short?

All tips are very much appriciated!

Thank you!

You said it in your video: Re setting the 'down' position and 'up' position would have been my guess.
Before one starts to go crazy and start replacing bits, I always go for a complete system reset first. That is, have you disconnected the battery, then, touched the positive and negative leads together, then reconnect the battery, then reset the window?
This is my goto process for any electrical gremlin, first. 9X out of 10. It solves the issue.

If I had the Maintenance Guide, I'm sure this situation would be listed there.... but I don't.

Overriding anti-trap protection

Anti-trap protection will stop window
movement if an obstruction or resistance is
detected. Check the window and it's aperture
and remove any obstructions, ice, etc. If it is
still necessary to raise the window, the override
procedure is as follows :-
1. Attempt to close the window, anti-trap will
prevent closure and lower the window
slightly.
2. Within ten seconds attempt to raise the
window again, anti-trap will prevent
closure and lower the window slightly.
3. Attempt to close the window for a third
time, this time hold the switch in the close
position. The window will raise whilst the
switch is held. Hold until closed.
Note: If this procedure fails to remove the
blockage, the window operation may need to
be reset.

Window reset

The windows will need to be reset if the battery
is disconnected, becomes discharged, or
power supply is interrupted.
Reset as follows :-
1. Close the window fully.
2. Release the switch, then lift it to the close
position and hold for two seconds.
3. Open the window fully.
4. Release the switch, then push it to the
open position and hold for two seconds.
5. Lift and release the switch to operate the
one touch function.
6. Repeat the procedure on each window.

Thanks for that @flybd5 . That's right from the owner's manual. But I do 'reset' the electrical system periodically. Keeps the gremlins at bay.
Don't suppose anyone has the Service Manual?!? That would be awesome.

Search google for the freelander 2 service manual and wiring diagrams.
