I have a 2001 Disco II and I am trying to use the AP200 to program 2 new fobs. When I downloaded the Autel app, it told me to download a separate app for Land Rovers (picture of app below). Then it wouldn't decode my VIN and when I tried to manually enter the car details (year, make model, etc) , it only gave Discovery car dates from 2005 and above. What am I doing wrong? (And because Im a patient man, Im open to sarcasm as well based on my last question
Yes, I did reach out to them and this was their response: "The MaxiAP200 may not have full support for vehicles older than 2005, which could be why you're encountering issues with VIN decoding and manual entry." So it looks like I may need something else to program these 2 new key fobs for the 2001 model year. They suggested the Autel MaxiIM as an alternative tool.

I am not surprised. It's a bit of a stretch to expect the low-cost unit to support 24 year old vehicles. They don't make enough money for the company to assign developers to old vehicles. Not enough demand.
