Looking for 2013 LR2 Owner Feedback
I've been considering purchasing a 2013 LR2 that I've been eyeballing for a while. It's an awesome little SUV and I very much like the interior and the command driving position.
I do have some concerns though in terms of the vehicle's reliability/repair costs and resale value. I also felt some non-linear acceleration during my test drive which was bothersome.
I would enjoy hearing from existing 2013 LR2 owners (US model). How has your experience with the vehicle been so far? Any major issues? Would you recommend?

So I've had a 2013 for a few months and here's my take:
Great overall SUV, I love it! I got the HSE w/out the LUX. It feels more like a truck, but the ride is smoother than my last SUV (11 SRX). It is exactly what I wanted.
I have been getting around 19MPG on 60/40 highway/city. The new twin turbo has power, but is a little touchy. It takes a few days to get used to but I think the pickup is great. Once you get used to the pickup and when it applies you won't notice it.
The console/touch is really nice. Not the best in class but a huge improvement. Bluetooth sync is perfect. I love all the new redesigns they did in the 13. I was looking at a 12 but when I drove the 13 I decided it was worth the upgrade.
I don't like that the memory seats, homelink, HD Radio, and Sirius are upgrades. I feel this should be standard in 2013. I actually liked the stock leather seats over the Lux, I feel they will hold up better. Nav would have been nice but I usually hate factory Nav units.
Regarding reliability it's too new to know about the 13's. I do know out of all the LR models but the LR2 has an excellent history. It may be the best model regarding reliability in their lineup. Seeing you have a 4yr/50k warranty that should eliminate a lot of concern up front.

Love mine also and it's a blast to drive. I'm about 85/15 city highway and averaging 17.8 mpg. Took 15 mile deep sand wash and turned off sand mode after 4-5 miles-seemed to really be reving and working hard. Switched the normal mode the last 10 miles and blasted along without issues. Love the interior room compared to the Evoque with same engine, LEDs, NAV and stereo. Agree Sirrus is a waste. Would never use or subscribe, but iPod and iPhone work flawless. Bluetooth perfect. Very comfortable, but wish it had cooled seats for here in the desert. The computer is very intuitive and does not allow any mistakes. Not one issue yet! Best SUV I have ever driven. Good Luck. I got white with tan interior and put black carpet mats in. The contrasts look great.

I put 126,000 miles on a 2008 LR2 and had absolutley no issues.. so my wife's LR3 has 62,000 miles on it and I wanteds to stagger the mileage so I just bought a new 2013 LR2.. I really like it.. drives a bit differently than the 2008, because of the new engine.. a bit more acceleration surge because of the supercharger.. The electronic upgrades are great.. Bluetooth and new GPS sat system is 1st rate.. I loved my 2008, an dlove my 2013 even more..

Hmm...
Being an owner of a 2008 LR2 I think the vehicle is great. It is comfortable, rides well and doesn't lack luxury. However, would I purchase another Land Rover LR2 again? Hard to say. My 2008 has roughly 85k miles on it and it's been nothing but trouble. Never taken it off road but recently the rear bearings went out as well as the shocks were leaking oil. There are some other problems with the vehicle as well. Resale value isn't fantastic either. So if you're willing to buy an LR2 expect high repair costs. I've already dropped ~5k on repairs on the LR2 and I've only had it for 1-2 years.
