Default LR2 heater problem

Hi, i have a 2010 freelander 2 td4 se, and the heater doesn't get hot even if you shift it to warm, and the selector that select where the air must blow doesn't select. The lights is shining at the selection where it must blow but stay on only the front vents.
What can be wrong.

That sounds like the climate control panel has gone south. Sometimes a good cleaning with contact cleaner will fix it, but other times you have to buy a replacement.

My guess is (based off your description and some knowledge but mainly guessing): -The car could have problems with the temp sensor. It could give incorrect information to both the gauge and the fans letting it think that it's overheated. -The thermostat can be faulty. Maybe getting stuck in closed position for a while letting the engine get hot.

Hmm. If the thermostat was broken I would think it would show up on the temperature gauge...

Thanks for all the feedback.
I went through the fusebox in engine bay and discovered a relay that was busted. After replacing it the heater worked perfectly.
