It may be able to learn OEM sensors on it's own....

Shut the car off for 15 minutes.
Drive it, maintain 30+ mph for at least 15 min
Park the car for 15 min

The car is basically looking to see which four TPMS sensors are following it around. Google says this won't work for the spare tire if you have TPMS on that (I don't).

Looks like you are correct except for the speed.

"If a new tire pressure sensor is fitted on any 'running' wheel, the software can learn the new sensor identification automatically when the vehicle is driven for more than 15 minutes at a speed of more than 20 km/h (12.5 mph)."

It will not detect anything on the spare tire because there is no TPMS antenna in the trunk.

So no reprogramming with JLR SDD is required.

I'll have to give that a shot to see if it helps thanks a ton

Yes, but there is no TPMS antenna in the trunk so it won't tell you if the spare is losing pressure.

Not quite accurate. On my model I had a message in the message centre stating the spare tire pressure was low.
I'll play with it in the sunlight and give you a picture.

I don't have that feature. Is yours an HSE? Mine's an SE, maybe that's why.

Yes, but there are different models within the year. It's either SE or HSE. It's on your rear hatch.

My 2008 SE doesn't have the spare TPMS either. Wish it did, that's actually useful, even I forget to air that thing up.
