Default Identify sensor for ZF 4hp22

Hi. About a year ago I got my gearbox fixed but haven't got time until now to put it back in the vehicle. Of course, now I find myself having a spare part that I have no clue where it belongs. It's a sensor of some kind. Does anybody know what it is and where it should go?

The sensor is magnetic.

Thanks in advance :-)

Looks like a speed sensor...would help if we knew year, make and model.

Hi. The vehicle is OneTen from -87. The autobox and a 300tdi is from a disco 1.

I wonder if the sensor could be a crankshaft position sensor? I usually look at the drawings at allbrit.de, but none of them show that kind of sensor on the autobox.

Double sided tape on a large headed screw will grab it and pull it out. Then use two box blades to kind of grab it by the side and pull it all the way out into position
