Default mirror tilt in reverse

Just bought a 2008 lr2 and when I put it in reverse the passenger mirror goes up instead of down. Is there any way to reset it or of not is there any way to turn it off? Thanks.

Should be able to adjust them. With vehicle in reverse, adjust them to the position you want. They will return to that position each time you put the vehicle in reverse. Here's the exerpt from my 2010 manual. I would think that the 2008 is same:

Mirror dip when reversing (memory seats only)
When reverse gear is selected the driver and passenger door mirrors are automatically
adjusted to provide an improved viewing angle for reversing.
The exact dipped position can be adjusted when the mirrors are dipped. The next time
reverse is selected, the newly adjusted position will be selected.
When the gear selector is moved out of reverse, the mirrors will return to their previous
position.
Note:
If the vehicle speed exceeds 7 km/h (4 mph) in reverse the mirrors will return to their
normal driving position for enhanced visibility.

The automatic mirror dip feature can be enabled or disabled by your
Land Rover Dealer.

Yeah I actually tried that but it didn't work, so I was hoping I could turn it off or reset it. Thanks though.

Set your seat memory for positions 1, 2, and 3 then set your mirror dip
as described in owners manual in memory positions 1, 2 and 3

I know this thread is old, but I'm looking for a way to turn off reverse mirror dip as my driver's mirror won't go back to the normal position after it dips. It says in the manual that the dealer can turn it off, but if its easy enough to do it myself I'd like to save the expense! I just purchased a 2008 LR2 and am trying to learn the ins and outs of it!
Thanks!
