Default Odd Transmission Problem

Hey guys, Newbie here to your forum,
Looking for someone who knows their stuff and may be able to save me a trip to a transmission shop. I have a 2008 LR2 and it occasionally has an odd shift from 3rd to 4th gear. When I say odd, it revs up between shifts and sometimes hits 4th gear pretty hard. It doesnt always do it, but is more prone to it when it is hot and has been driven for a little while. After it reaches 4th its fine, as are all the other gears. I live in an area where qualified help for anything other than a ford or chevy is difficult. Im thinking/hoping that I dont have a major issue.
Thanks in advance

Fluid interval is 10 years/150K, so it's due... might try that if you haven't already.

CaptRobC5,

I have a 2008 LR2 as well, 110K on it. Mine has started occasionally "dying" when shifting. My RMPs don't start revving, it is more like I lose power while the transmission is searching for the gear. It only does this on a very occasional shift. I am assuming this different than what you are experiencing?
