IIRC you can do it either by removing the intake manifold or the front bumper. I think it's possible without disconnecting the condenser and losing your charge.
This site is mostly US, we mostly have the 3.2 i6 engine in early LR2's. There's more info about the diesel models on the Brit freel2 site...
I need to replace the coolant radiator of my 2009 Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 SE (Auto).
id you you know where I can find a tutorial to help me to do this ? Is their a solution without removing the airconditionner radiator ?
Thanks for your help.
On the diesel models you have to remove the cooling fan motor and shroud, the bumper armature and the charge air cooler. You then detach the coolant hoses and take out the radiator. Reverse to install. It's much easier than on the 3.2L gasoline model.
If you download the service manual for which there are a few links here on the forum, you will find the instructions on page 963, "Engine Cooling - TD4 2.2L Diesel - Radiator, Removal and Installation".
