Default Replacing LR2 fuel pressure sensor

For my 2008 LR2, I'm planning to replace the fuel pressure sensor which is located on the driver's side of the fuel rail. My question is, how do I release the pressure in the fuel rail before removing the sensor?

Typically, other vehicles have a Schrader valve (similar to the air valve on a tire) that can be used for testing pressure and releasing pressure. But I don't see one on my LR2. Photo attached.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Look on the opposite end of the fuel rail (left side in your picture) I think the valve is there

If not you can remove the fuse for the fuel pump (front passenger feet fuse box)

Start the motor with the fuse removed and the engine will stall as the fuel pressure drops

Then you can remove the sender

Good luck

No Schrader valve on the left side (passenger side) of the fuel rail. That end of the rail simply has a Torx bolt in it.

So I will do as you suggest. Remove the fuel pump fuse (F22), start the engine and let it stall out, evacuating the pressure.
