Default Small nub on the bottom of Driver side Mirror

Hello everyone. I have a 2008 Landrover LR2. I was replacing the side mirror, when I noticed a small black nub on the bottom that has 2 white wires connected to it on the inside.I can't for the life of me figure out what this is for. Basically, the replacement mirror I have doesn't have the puddle light, but my old mirror does. So I was planning on taking the wiring connector from the old mirror, and putting it into the new one after cutting out a hole for the light. And my curiosity peaked on this little nub. Anybody have any idea what it could be for?

That's a temperature sensor, for the display in the dash module.

It is the Ambient Air Temperature sensor and make sure you don't break the wires or connectors because it is important for a number of functions in the car.
