White smoke
we have a 2008 LR2 SE, recently the thermostat housing broke (a plastic housing, wth!) which caused the vehicle to over heat. The housing and thermostat has been replaced. There are no leaks from under the vehicle but the low coolant light is on and it is blowing white smoke from the tail pipe which sort of smells like antifreeze. The dipstick doesn’t show liquid in the oil either.
When the thermostat repairs were being made it was noticed that there was coolant residue in the intake manifold. Which would explain the white smoke smelling like antifreeze.
Is this a head gasket issue and can it be fixed with a gasket sealer or am I going to have to tear this thing apart and redo the head gasket? Looking for help.
