05 LR3 180k miles
So a deal popped up in my area and I don’t know if I can refuse.
2005 Land Rover LR3 HSE V8 fully loaded
180k miles $3,000 clean title
I know my way around cars and will be checking the common issues on this one. Plugged sun roof lines, corroded wiring under the floor, etc. but for 3k I mean DANG. Needs 2 key fobs. It currently has 1 key but the fob won’t open the car. It looks like the inside has been taken care of. I will obviously be driving it with the ac off and listening for clunks and sounds. I’m figuring if it needs new control arms and 1-2 other small bits it could be a decent ride. It will be for my wife just as an around town car nothing LONG. We have 3 kids so it will haul them around. Currently we have a 08 XC90 but it had transmission issues 2 years ago and it’s feeling like it may go again. It’s a 3-5k procedure that I would like to avoid if I can... any advice on this?

Throw a dash mat up there and you won't see it. I'd check all the stuff you said plus of course listen for diff groaning, leaks, etc. $3000 is a steal! I just picked up a 2006 HSE with 186k for $4700.
