09 LR3 research
Hello, I'm a new member and I'm in love with the '09 LR3 and want to get one, but the reputation of Land Rover reliability makes the rational side of me hesitate. could anyone please tell me if the beat down (on reliability) is valid base on your experience with the new LR3? I know there's 4 yr/ 50k warranty, but it is still an annoyance (and inconvenience) to bring in the car for repair often.
also anyone could shed some light on a reasonable price range for a new '09 LR3? i live in nyc suburb.
thanks!!

I felt similar before purchasing my 05 LR3 a while ago...it's been trouble free and only a few trips to the dealer for minor items while under warranty. Oil changes at 7500mi, alignments, brakes, tires...
I've actually taken my wife's honda to the dealer more often (3000-4000mi oil change)...umm, the LR costs a little more though.
Everything has maintenance and when done properly and on schedule, it'll last longer...

You asked for reasonable price range? I don't have specific pricing as I didn't buy new, sorry
New is going to cost more obviously. A 1-2yr older model will probably save you 10k or so...MSRP is 47k for base model new. It'll depend on the options you want and model you choose. Navigation? SE vs HSE?
I guess to me a reasonable price out the door would be less than MSRP (including tax/title/etc...etc...). I hate paying MSRP for some reason
