They have a more positive lock on the socket providing better contact and less likely to fall or vibrate out on rough terrain.

Yes it is, boot=trunk, bonnet=hood ect.
America is, boot=boot (foot), bonnet (hat for women) ect.
When I first got it I was scolded because I used our terminology (it was jokingly) but figured the Rover calls it these on the display so I figured I would as well. Pay homage to the English I guess. I guess I just assumed others did too, apparently my assumption was vastly incorrect.
Also from my understanding Europeans dislike it when it is refereed to as a truck! LOL
Though tyre does confuse me a bit? I mean its pronounced the same but obviously the spelling?
