would either of the two potential issues you mentioned disallow the vehicle to start back up and or start at all?

I have a 2005 LR3 I am considering buying that the people say they were driving down the highway at 60 and it stalled. No warning lights, not overheating. They took it to a shop and the shop said it was the starter, they replaced the starter and it still wouldn’t start. So the shop is telling the people it’s the engine.
what are your thoughts on that?

If it stalled at speed and wouldn't start I'd think it's fuel related but I'll defer to someone more knowledgeable. Also, I'd probably pass on that particular vehicle.
