Default 2005 LR3 HSE V8 4.4 PO741 PO730 related to Transmission Check Engine Light

Hello All,

I need your expert help with the following symptoms on my 2005 LR3 HSE V8 at 152k miles. Seeing checking engine light on and after pulling the codes several times via OBD-2 at dealership, 3rd party repair shop, and myself it is consistently producing the following codes:

PO-741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off
PO-730 Incorrect gear ratio

The vehicle drives perfectly fine and there are no issues but check engine light will come on after reset and driving any where from 300-2k miles.

I have owned the LR3 for 12 years now and have gotten every single service done. 95% at dealership and have been using 3rd party repair shop few times recently. I have seen similar posts in the forum several times but solution has been various different things.

I am not a car expert and I will appreciate your help with this. I am located in southern California. Also if there is a genuine repair shops in south orange county, please let me know. Dealership does not want to do any troubleshooting and wants to swap out the transmission for $9k.

thank you for your time and help.

I bet they do...

When was the last time the dealership updated the software for the truck? Simple and relatively cheap service that is occasionally necessary for these sensitive brutes....
