2005 lr3 passenger side upper radiator hose connector help!! Please!🙏
Please help!!
my 2005 LR3 started overheating so I pulled over, popped the hood, and saw coolant everywhere. I noticed the upper radiator hose popped off. The plastic connector tip was broken off in the hose and I think I got most of it out of the hose. It was super brittle and just crumpled. What is that plastic connector part called? Can I just replace it? I can’t afford to replace the radiator. I’ve attached a couple pictures.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

The part is called a radiator.
You can slip the hose back on and use a tighter clamp. But its odd it would have slipped off, the max pressure is 16psi and shown on the overflow tank cap and that factory clamp, even with the damaged radiator nipple, should have held. Have you been checking coolant level regularly? Did it overheat?

Try changing to a screw type hose clamp, but be careful as that plastic is 19 years old and can easily break. I would use the screw type hose clamp long enough for a new Nissens radiator to arrive.
One of the problems with these cars is the nearly 20 year old plastic bits that are finally seeing the end of their life span.
Hope this helps
