Default 2006 LR 3 key fob question- battery change, etc.

Hello again everyone,
I will give an update later on my continuing EAS issues, but have a question regarding the key fob for the LR 3. I have realized I have never changed the battery so wondering how you separate the case to do that, and then also wondering if there is a way to attach a key ring to this Fob? I just got a new Fob from Lucky8 Off-road and don’t see how to get a ri g on the little opening.

IF it is a factory Land Rover key, it charges while in the ignition.
IF it is an aftermarket key fob....... It may charge and it may not depends on which cheap key source you bought it from. There is no way of knowing until the battery dies I suppose and then you have an answer.
BUT, to answer your question, remove that little Philips screw and pry the to case halves apart.

be aware of flying springs

keep everything in place if possible (open slowly)
or you will have some trial/error to re-set the internal mechanisms correctly

Default 2006 LR 3 key fob question

Thank you both for your helpful comments! And the fact that the fob charges while in ignition explains why I have never had to change battery! But it does look like the aftermarket from Lucky8 is changeable. But hopefully not for a long time as brand new.
