Default 2006 LR3 4.4 coolant leak 149k

hello all!
i had a small coolant leak on my LR3 with intermittent temp gauge spike. After a min or two it would return to normal. Just this morning after driving on the highway, it spiked and did not return. There is still coolant in the over flow tank but there was coolant splashed on the front of the grill and front bumper. There was no sound of a popping or gurgling. Th Radiator was replaced 1 yr ago.
Any thoughts on leak? I was thinking hoses and or seals.
any input would be great
thanks!

with the coolant ending up outside the front, I'd start with all the hoses to/from the radiator, the bleeder screw on top, and the radiator itself.

I had a coolant leak situation that was from a cracked thermostat housing. My understanding is these tend to crack on the LR3. May be worth a check to see if the housing has some seepage. However, if like you said it's on the outside of the vehicle I would agree with the above poster mentioning the radiator itself. Was it a new ,factory radiator you replaced with?

It was replaced by the previous owner so I am not sure. Belts were replaced as well

You simply need to locate the leak, thats all there is to it. Should not be hard to do but you must get the coolant level up or you can damage the engine. To me it almost sounds like a hose blew off. Do a visual look for anything obvious, then get the coolant topped off (USE THE CORRECT COMPATIBLE COOLANT) and get it up to operating temp to locate the leak. It might even be obvious when you are filling it up.
