2006 LR3 Air Suspension not working
Hi Folks,
It has been mercifully long since I have needed to post but unfortunately the air suspension bug has struck my LR 3 with about 178,00 miles on it. It actually first struck almost a year ago when it stopped raising. I determined that the compressor was shot and replaced what looked to be the original AMK unit. I replaced with aftermarket AMK and it then worked beautifully for some time. November of 2024, the compressor got very noisy and the vehicle would sag over night. It then would take its time raising when restarting so I decided to rebuild the air valve blocks and installed all new seals and did have to replace one block as a piston was seized. I did this in February and unfortunately the compressor does not seem to work at all now. I pulled that down and checked the desiccant beads and then replaced them. There seemed to be some water in one of the lines when I pulled it off. Since replaced beads it is still not working and I get two codes related to air suspension. One says the Off-road system is receiving faulty instruction from the air suspension unit, and then the unit itself doesn't seem to be responding. I'm thinking that maybe their were leaks in the system before I changed the O-rings in the blocks and lines, and this made the compressor work too hard and fried it, and so now it needs replacing again? Wondering if anyone has other sage advice. The compressor is still under warranty but big surprise the company is not repsonding to my messages. And I should add that after changing the O-rings, it did raise properly one time and then another time only one side raised. But since then nothing....

So currently the compressor doesn't fire up at all?
The codes would be helpful. Did you read them with a GAP tool or something else? If the former, I think you can force the EAS to operate. If it does, then I'd say your problem is not the compressor but perhaps the ECU...

Thank you for your reply, and I have a Foxwell code reader which does allow me to reset various systems including the air suspension but for some reason as soon as I reset, it throws the code again. And I think you might be correct that it is a problem with the module. I’m not sure just how to address that. Where is the module located for the Air Suspension? Thank you again.

so no, compressor not firing at all and I will provide more info tomorrow on specific info from code reader. My phone died right when I was trying to take pics from code screen!
I have some more info related to my LR3 A. S. Issue. The following is from my code reader:
”Air suspension control module is unable to support normal terrain response”
“Air suspension is inoperable”
”Possible causes”
”Isolation switch -Current monitor”
“1 or more valve supplies short circuit to ground”
”Rear valve block disconnected”
”Air suspension control module failure”
If I crossed lines when I reconnected air lines to rear block after servicing, would that qualify as “Rear valve block disconnected”? I thought I got it installed correctly but perhaps not! The one time it inflated after putting all back together I did notice the side where the block is located behind rear tire was lower.
But also Control module failure showed up under both All terrain response and Ride height control modules so perhaps it is as you thought.
