Default 2006 LR3 Radio and navigation not working

My apologies if this question has been raised and there are existing posts in relation to this. I did my best to find them in the search window. But recently I posted about how I thought I could swap speedo guages with another used speedo guage on a 2006 LR3. It of course did not work and I was able to solder in another speaker per the instructions on one of the posts here, and reinstall my existing speedo cluster. That all works fine now but.... now my radio and navigation system will not power on at all. When i plug in the Foxwell's reader it says that the guage cluster is not communicating with the radio or navigation system. During this failed swap process, I also disconnected the battery and did a hard reset, meaning I took the disconnected battery cables and connected them via a jumper cable. So I am obviously looking to resync the guage cluster and radio/navigation, or reset radio and navigation or all of the above. Would anyone know something about this? Would simply disconnecting the negative cable do it? Thank you for any advice...

Default Radio issue fixed!

So replying to my previous post, So I disconnected the Ground on the battery and let all the power drain for several hours. I believe this is called a "soft" reset in terms of electrical and computer issues that your car might be having. Reconnected the ground and voila!, the radio and information system started working again.
