I'm also an engineer... if that helps. Honestly though, at heart I am a tinkerer, and can repair anything. Taught myself to rebuild the hybrid battery system in my Prius when it failed over 200k miles ago. When I don't know how to do something, I have a knack for ultimately figuring it out. Born out of necessity I suppose. Father died when I was nine, and we were poor as f*ck afterward. I quickly learned how to repair everything from the t.v. to the car.

I am the wood shop / fabrication shop guy from high school who never thought attending university was in the cards. Yet, living in my car during a brutal winter at age 19 changed my perspective. Life is interesting that way.

Life does have it's twists and turns.

When you get a LR3 see if you can crack the code to allow for manual locking of the center diff.

Totally not Land Rover related, but I bought a relatively clean one owner low miles 89 Jeep Wagoneer today. Always loved the body style but have no intention of keeping it. Will clean it up and flip it, helping pay for work on the LR3.

Found another LR3 in my price range. This time, a 2006 HSE V8. However, upon Carfax research, it endured a side impact collision that set off the airbags. That, and five owners. : /

"Accident reported. Involving left side impact with another motor vehicle. Disabling damage reported. Vehicle towed. Airbag deployed."

It looks great inside and out... but five owners, and an airbag deployed accident in its second year? Nope, nope, nope.

Will do. Might have to control it with a tablet or phone.... unless perhaps I rig up a Raspberry Pi to an interface. Hmmm...

what ever sorcery works lol

Whats the price on the damaged one, if you can use that info to push the price lower and it's clean.......

Are you looking for Daily drive and light trail toy or trail toy and light daily drive? Trail toy who cares about the accident, beat them down on the price and go for it.
