Default 2006 Radio Button Flat

2006 LR3 Stereo button on dash has no spring back action and is unresponsive

Want is needed fix? Steering wheel audio controls work fine. Hate non-functioning controls

I have one radio button that does not work. It's surprising there is no instruction to be found online about how to repair worn out radio buttons.

I had the same problem. It’s not easy to replace the button. The whole face plate has to come off the head unit. The buttons are pretty much built into the face and are pretty delicate. The button has a tiny little plastic pin that pushes the little pad thing on the board. The hardest part is reconnecting the flat cables to the board when putting the face back on the head unit. What button is broken on your unit?

Default Fix for "flat" or broken radio buttons...

I followed the directions here:

https://landroverforums.com/forum/ge...buttons-52892/

worked fantastic! Only advice I have is to keep the broken button in the mounting plate when drilling from the back, just be careful to not drill too far. If you try to remove the buttons to drill, you might end up breaking the pivot point mountings of the buttons themselves as they are very delicate.

I've added some photos during the process. Once done, I had all the buttons working again. Just take your time and don't force anything, and don't over-tighten any screws while reassembling.
