275/65/18 rubbing solutions? Modifications?
This tire is just over 32" tall and I was expecting rubbing.
Has anyone done any modifications to alliviate this?
I have searched the forum, but can't find anything on this.
Thanks

Well I have another set of wheels with 30.5" tires. These are for everyday use.
How difficult is changing the rods everytime I go offroad? I looked at the mechanism and it seems fleemsy... I would break the sensor arm...
What is your experience?

So you just switch them (install then uninstall) when you don't need the extra height? Is this like a 1-2hour thing for the avg joe? I have rubbing on mine but just barely and I'd like that extra height while off road...
Geez, just get a set of Cooper Zeon LTZ's from Discount Tire. They run long, quiet, and they fit. The amount of rubbing is so insignificant, as it only occurs on deep decompression. I have over 30,000 miles on mine and there are many more miles left. It really is a simple decision. Anything bigger than that is not worth the time unless you invest in a lift kit and a commercial kit is not yet on the market, although I know of one coming out soon.
You can swap the arms out in about a half hour I can do it in about 15 mins. It is simple and works great.
The lift that is comming out is basicly modified sensor arms. Why wait I have been making and using them for over a year.
