Default 4.4 Misfire and p1367

Hi again from over the pond.

Washed my Disco the other day and since then had 'Reduced Engine Performance' plus a bad misfire.

Read codes and come up with P1367 - Ignition system failure, plus P0351, 354, 356, 357. IE ignition coils A,D,F,G.

As V8's are rare over here can anyone shed any light on where to start fiddling?

Thanks

A few questions first:

>Did you wash the engine bay at all?
>Did you wash around the windshield cowling and is your cabin air filter wet or the PASS carpet wet?
>Are you using premium fuel (at least 91 octane)?
>What is your typical battery voltage?
>Did this happen when you first started the engine after sitting a while?

The only time I got misfires and ignition system codes was because the truck had been sitting for about a month and the voltage was a little low. Cleared codes and they never came back. It COULD be a bad plug or coil pack but you would have to clear the code and it would come back... so it usually is not quite the case. If you do not have a code reader for that purpose you can disconnect battery and hold the cables together for a minute or two to reset the system.

IF the codes come back then start with spark plugs, not too hard with the right tools. If the plugs are good and a certain coil pack keeps coming back wrong, they are literally plug and play, easy to change out.
