Default Add nav screen just for the 4x4 screen

I’m looking at an LR3 to buy that has the HD package but no screen. Verified it via the vin number that it does have the rear locker that I’ve been searching for.

my question is can I add the touch screen just for the 4x4 screen? Would an lr4 screen work better since it’s more of a stand alone unit? Or does it only matter if the LR3 has the MOST network installed already?

do not care about the navigation only the 4x4 screen.

If you want a screen you need MOST, so check if you have that. Been a while, but I think if you have the six-disc CD changer in dash then you will have MOST. But really the easy way to check is to look at the amp under the passenger seat for the MOST connection, that being two orange "cables" going to one port. If you have that, your options are open for either screen. I love the look of the LR4 one much better than the LR3 one. All you really need is power (it is constant), infomat relay power (to turn the display on/off) and a MOST connection which is really easy to add.

6-CD changer and amp (any, either the silver or the black one) under the passenger seat equal having the MOST bus. Speakers might also say Harman/Kardon (= high line stereo, silver amp) or Harman/Kardon Logic7 (= premium line stereo, black amp).

The low line stereo system is missing the amp under the passenger seat and has only four speakers wired directly to it.
