Yeah, I would think AB would not sell the lesser version. Can always call em! I am certain they know the product well.

I hope the OEM one I got from Atlantic British is the same unit..it was only $119 or so.
There's a better one ?
The Delco one is only $60 on Amazon and Partsgeek.

Part is 252-800

Yes, the $119 one we sell is definitely Airtex OEM version under part # 4575902OEMA.

Good to know. Maybe I will keep my Delco as a backup and get the OEM AirTex. The price is right.

Hi..Just the metal gasket that comes with it yes..
The metal gasket is actually not flat, it seals effectively on its own, or does some other stuff need to be used as well.
I'm going to order the pulleys to do
Water Pump,Belts and Pulleys.
How many hours for a mechanic do you think.
Have to do heater core next : (

Ours is the 4.4 V8.. no instructions in the one we got but box had been opened. I called Atlantic British and was told install only the metal gasket, it collapses to seal the joint. God bless that this Water Pump lasts as long as the original (207k miles excellent quality) : )

No sealant should be needed, per factory manual on all three engine types. 4.4 instructions attached here....

Default Atlantic British Airtex Water Pump No Good

Well the new Airtex OEM Water Pump from Atlantic British Cracked after only 21,000 miles (two years)
What a piece of junk. The original lasted 207,000 miles it failed at 228,000 and I changed it not because of failure but pre emptively. Atlantic British should find a better product out there cause some of us buy 80% of our stuff from them relying on getting good stuff.
Mechanic said he is going to get us a better one than this " OEM" one. I read that the original was Airtex but made in Spain with a brass propeller but no longer available. Anyway I need this damn car and this rubbish started on Christmas Eve mechanic thinking leak coming from hose connections..now it's back with the real cause and still no car when I need it.
