Default Aftermarket Transmission Cooler

I know that any mixing of the transmission fluid and engine coolant is a death sentence for the ZF transmission. To prevent this and possibly improve your transmission cooling ability has anyone rerouted their lines to an aftermarket tranny cooler? I searched but did not come up with anything on the forum.

To be clear- I am not having any issues with my transmission so I am looking at this as a preventative step.

Thanks,
Eric

Considering the cost of a tranny replacement, it's cheap insurance, imo. Putting on list...

....seems like a lot of tinkering to solve a problem that hasn't manifested much if at all in 11 years in the field. If it ain't broke....

I plan on towing a trailer in the mountains as well so that was part of my thinking. Add an larger trans cooler for peace of mind.

Could use the largest and nicest computer radiator you can find. I swear I have seen MCM use one for a project
