Thanks for the info. Was planning on mounting an early tank on pass side, putting the air in mod on that tank then plumbing Aux tank into rear of main tank.

Here is a link as to how a guy in the UK did just as you are proposing. I thought you may find it of interest.

I do however love going off road with 0 worries about blowing something and hitting the bump stops.
Mostly that was just me being a smart A&* though
No worries on the smart a$$ bit, that's good fun.Originally Posted by ArmyRover

Really though...in almost 13 years it seems like a pretty special set of circumstances that puts a person on bump stops. A bad compressor (what's the probability of it going **** while on the trail though and you not detecting it's tiredness in time to pull fuses?) or a bad height sensor calibration (I carry spares and an IIDTool helps a lot here). An airshock going bad (if you're that concerned you can check its health pre-trip by lifting the vehicle and checking for interference between the control arm and the shock). Knowing which fuses to pull and when....goes a long way.
I think it was a valid concern years ago...but now as a community we know the symptoms of the failure modes and how to mitigate the effects.
