Different in ratings is probably related to ply rating. Of course to muddy things, 10-ply tires today are not actually 10-ply, just "10-ply" rated and may only have six ply but "strength" of 10. I only learned that a year ago.

As for storage.... true. I thought of hacking in an electric winch for dropping the spare. They exist and I think even in some high end Range Rovers. But so long as you can get one seat up then a socket and wrench is fine. If I had the cargo lid instead, I would not hesitate to drill a hole in it and make my storage boxes accommodate that access point. As I am setup not, my cargo module/kitch/etc simply replaces one third row seat. The other seat remains usable.

If only Falken had info in their "ply rating" column for those.

One of these would be accessible thru the gap with the seats stowed?

Probably. I myself never tried to go between seat backs that way, I just raise on. But I guess the concern is storage build. I suppose a hole ALL the way down would work.

That is pretty much how my box in the P38 works. In the year I have been using it I have been fortunate to not get a flat so no experience removing it and replacing. Would be easy for 2 people but not so much if by myself. Thought I would try to make the box for the LR3 a little more permanent so it would not move around and damage the interior. Trying to get a tire out from under the vehicle if you are stuck in snow or mud can be problematic so the swing away is really the besr way to go.
