Glad your local shop was able to get it sorted! I noticed the open back on my replacement as well. I wonder if the originals were sealed to protect against moisture?

Shop noticed a slight drip from my oil cooler line (coolant side) when they did the road test after the alt. install. Found a bone yard a short distance from here that has a low mileage LR3 with a "supposedly" good replacement piece. Dealer wanted over $600...

Nice to know there is a "parts" truck so close for me to utilize. Might take a drive there in the near future to see what rims are on the truck.

That sir, is a lucky find! I would love to have a donor vehicle somewhere close enough to go Kball some parts from. As it is, I spend a lot of time on Ebay...
