Has anyone ever used one of these?

Aluminum Thermostat for LR3 4.4L

 

I just saw these a few weeks ago and also learned they have been out for a few years. Somehow I never noticed. Interested also if anyone here installed one. The OEM plastic ones last a long time but those metal ones seem like lifetime possibly. Only concern is the quality of the metal and if it will break down or something.....

 

So, should I try being the guinea pig or just go with OEM. OEM has held up this long, might be over thinking it. Would look cool to have a shinny Aluminum one.
