Mine were labeled Made in Germany. I have also seen BWI labeled as made in UK. I have not seen any say made in China, but that is possible. As an American though, I would take Chinese made over American made any day.

B.) Mine indicated "Made in GB" on the box label, but nothing on the shock itself that I could see. They also don't list a manufacturing facility in the UK any longer, so I guess I got one of the last. I can see how one could make the connections for the "OEM" claim per the AB and your post above but "original equipment" per the Amazon listing is not accurate IMO. So be it.

Looking at Advanced Factors site they list them as GB origin still whereas LR Parts don't mention it.

I pulled the trigger on a set of 4, after about 4 hours in the driveway I was out for a test drive. I forgot how great these ride when everything is up to snuff! In addition to one of my front leaking! Something was limiting travel to about half. That really explains the horrible ride I’d been suffering. I bought the cheapest set I could find given as mentioned by others have mentioned, they’re likely all out of the same factory. I don’t have much faith they last as long as the 288k that the rears lasted, but as previously stated, I’m not sure how much longer I’ll run this one. I’ll post back if they give out quick.

Follow-up after a several weeks... I had some weird things going on up front, the rears had no issues what-so-ever, I immediately had overnight lowering. After putting it in service mode, I determined that the left front was losing air. I gave it the soap test and checked the line, I didn't find anything that really stuck out, but replaced the airline fitting anyway. The next morning I was on the bump stops again. This time the right front was losing air! I repeated the same procedure as the left, but it would still lose air. I contacted the seller of the parts, they sent me a replacement for $20 and did not required a return of the old one. After initial success, it dropped overnight once, but now has been running normal for about 2 weeks. After all this hassle, I'd say they're not really worth the trouble. The ride quality is good, but I've spent more than enough time on troubleshooting to make up for the money saved on the cheaper parts. It's not a shock by any means, but it was enough of a price gap to take the gamble. Unfortunately I lost.
