AMK Compressor replacement...EAS
Old thread, but there is a service bulletin advising that anything other than the most current software will result in an Exhaust Valve Circuit fault and disable the suspension. Bulletin LTB00452NAS2 for reference.
No line replacement done, unless I find a problem with any of them.
Just finished installing the AMK compressor, plus all three valve blocks. Leaked checked every fitting and so far so good. Will let it sit for 24 hrs and see what I loose in height.
Had forgotten how quiet the compressor should be. Nice to not hear anything again.
The AMK is much easier to install compared to the Hitachi. That said, I made one mistake, in that the line that needs to be cut requires a brass insert to be fitted prior to making the new connection. I failed to install that item, although I don't have any leaks at the moment. On a side note, I had a seen a video that suggested removing the spare tire to help in the swap of the rear valve block. Complete waste of time as nothing could be seen or accessed from that area.
I have plans to install new air bags and struts next week, unless I see no loss of height after letting the LR3 sit for a couple of days.

That brass ferrul is uber important to the line being secured in the fitting... I would take the time now to disconnect and reassemble with all parts than risk the line disengaging unexpectedly at thwe worst possible time.
The LR3 is at the dealership for the reprogramming from the Hitachi to the AMK. I haven't lost any height since replacing the valves and compressor, so I'm holding off replacing the airbags at this time.
The exhaust fault code has been coming up often since replacing the compressor, but I'm not too concerned unless I see the same issue after the dealer reprograms the computer.
Off topic, but my loaner vehicle is a Evoque. While I don't mind them, as they are light and fun to drive, I still prefer my LR3 for day to day use. A couple of years ago my loaner was a Range Rover Sport with the Supercharged V8. 510 hp was fun to play with for 2 months.

For all intents and purposes, the air springs do not wear out or rot/crack and seem pretty reliable. The problem however is that with the shocks internal to the air springs, when the shocks fail over time, the oil has to go somewhere and hence some of it ends up coating the rubber of the air springs and the rest kind of goes out thru the exhaust.
Yes, the shocks can be replaced separately and all put back together with the existing air springs, but to my mind, it is not really worth the effort.
I expect the software update will solve the trouble light concern. Thank you for keeping us updated.
Quick update:
Since the dealership reprogrammed the computer on Tuesday I have been fault free. Three days and 200 miles and everything is perfect. Will still plan to replace the struts and airbags soon, preferably before a 1,300 mile trip coming up in a couple of weeks.
I agree with bbyer, it would be foolish to only replace a portion given the mileage I have on it.

Last update:
Completed my long trip (Colorado Springs to Bullfrog Marina, UT and back). LR3 sat in 100+ degree heat for 7 days and upon return to the Marina I had no loss in suspension height. Still haven't replaced the airbags and shocks, but did note the ride home was a little more soft than normal, even on the mushy side (sort of like the ride in a mid 80's Lincoln. Granted I had 1,000 lbs loaded in the vehicle, but I've done that before without noticing the softer ride.
Off topic, but as I was leaving Lake Powell, I saw a dark green LR3 (I assume with Johnson Rods as it was lifted with larger tires) arriving with a large ski boat.
