Default Another Suspension Issue

Looking for some help please. I have a 2006 LR3 HSE, 130k miles on it and I have a problem I am hoping someone in the group can help me with.

At 50mph the suspension drops in to access mode and I get the red warning light on the dash. Suspension fault and no special programs.

Switch off, pull the key, turn it back on again and every thing is normal. I can travel at 45MPH with no issues BUT 50 mph it drops again.

Can any one shed some light in this?

Thanks for the help

Large leak in the system. You you drive the leak makes the other corners lower to self adjust until you are on the bump stops.

You restart, it inflates the system and the cycle continuiez.

Sounds like a cross-articulation fault to me. Calibrate the suspension...looking for leaks would be a good idea too.

Check and make sure that all four tires match the tire placard on the door jamb.

A couple of good possibilities have been mentioned above, but I would recommend you get the system scanned for fault codes from a qualified Land Rover specialist. Whether that be the dealer or an independent shop that specializes is up to you, but most shops that don't specialize in Rover won't be able to access the Ride Level Module or know what they are looking at.

I had the same problem and it was a steering wheel calibration. I would drive around town and things would be fine until I would go on the highway and go over 55 mph. I would get the bing bing suspension drop. Once I would pull over and restart the Lr3 everything would be fine again.

mx, think back....was that an amber suspension fault or red? I had one related to the steering-angle sensor as well but it was slightly different than a cross-articulation fault. The former is amber, triggered after a certain time (I think) and drops you to Access height. The latter is red, is triggered at a certain speed and drops you to bump stops.

For that matter, G Reeves, also think back and recall the precise effects of this failure.

Did you fix this issue? I'm having the same thing going on with my LR3. I have recalibrated steering, recalibrate suspension, replaced front strut, front and rear valve blocks are new, and replaced a few air lines. If I unplug the connection to the compressor (6 pin I think) I can drive it as normal (get warning light and ding). The suspension sat for a week without dropping, so I'm sure I have all leaks fixed. I don't know what to try next.
