Another Weird Suspension Issue

Another Weird Suspension Issue
During the snow storm this week I went to raise my LR3 to off road height and got a suspension fault. I restarted the car and it went away, but would come back randomly for the next 24 hours.
Now on cold startup, the compressor runs fine and fills up the reservoir and levels the front, but once the rear raises the fault goes off and stays on. Its been doing this for 3 days. It drives fine and stays at the correct height, but the fault dings over 30mph and runs fine at 70 mph, just dings a lot.
I don't think is the compressor, its only 18 months old. Any thoughts on why the fault happens when the rear goes to raise???

Always start with the battery! Beyond that, I'm not sure without more info. Are you saying that you raise to O/R Height, get the fault, it drops you back to Normal Height but that the icon remains illuminated and you get a "reminder" above 30 MPH? Is the icon red or amber?
First blush is that it could be a wacky height sensor resulting in an out-of-range fault.

You'd really need to read the codes to see why the computer is upset. Is there anyone nearby with a hawkeye or nanocom you can use?
I think the guy that makes the abs amigo makes some software you can run on a laptop with a USB-OBD2 dongle that will also be capable of reading codes. That's probably the cheapest way to go at the moment, but the software doesn't list many advanced features at the moment, but I assume it's only a matter of time before he adds them.

If I were to start diagnosing on this problem, I would be checking wheel speed sensors, wiring. I would check for ice or something on the height sensors or the height rods. Perhaps a sensor height or speed has gone bad.
Typically in the snow belts you can find a decent car wash that does the under body.
Do you have NAV, put it on the 4x4 screen while driving and see if one wheel goes bonkers or anything looks out of the ordinary when the pinging starts.
Beyond that, taking it to a good independent or dealer who can read the codes and see what the fault is might be useful.
You mention the front raising, then the rear. It works just the opposite for me. There are two valve blocks that get plugged up one for the front, one for the rear. Perhaps it can be cleaned or replace if that's the issue.
