Hello everyone, I just bought a 2008 LR3 and am pretty excited to start bouncing down our fine forest roads up here in the PacNW. Learning a ton here and appreciate everyone taking the time to help each other out.
Question: does anyone have any idea if this APT front skid plate for an LR4 will fit on my '08 LR3? If I have to do a bit of fiddling, metal bending, hole drilling, no problem. In other words, if its close to fitting, I think I could get it to fit without too much trouble.
Here's an old install video of the skid plate if that helps:
All the trails up here, and you’re gonna run FSRs? If you live in OR or WA, I can suggest some trails.
Just a figure of speech, I'm hoping to get out on some fun trails with the LR3, but I do need to replace the tires on it first with something more trail suited. Been riding dirt bikes up here for years, but am new to wheeling a rig like the LR3, so it will be a learning experience for me.
I would love to hear about any of your favorite trails, keeping in mind my rig is stock and I'm a newb, thanks. -Ed
Lots of options from your area, especially before it starts snowing. My favorite trail in WA is Fortune Creek. Then the Liberty trail system has lots of options. Manastash is a little farther out but that's a fun one, too. After it snows and all the trails are covered, there is always good ol' Tahuya (nearest town is Belfair). If you are just starting out, Tahuya may be your best bet; stick to the north loop....but wait until it starts raining. Tahuya is just lame-o in the summer....
