I don't have the himbox but a similar device. I'll post a photo later but I mounted mine where the nokia phone tray was on some of the older trucks (inside the center console lid). Still need to make a permanent mount but it works.

EDIT: photos added. Please excuse the bad wire wrap, I still need to locate some larger shrink tubing to make it look nice. It was worth it to me to have it mounted in the console lid because of the NFC feature that lets anyone in the truck just tap the device with a phone to link it.

I then routed the wires through the center console to come out at the edge of the fascia to the right of the shifter near the passenger seat, where it wraps around to plug into the rear of the console.

Anyone have experience adding a 12v socket and moving the AUX imput?

Mine was my light bar. I ended up paying about $120 for everything mounted. Does that count. If not my ultraguage is the best item to have for under $100. It plugs into your ob port and mounts on your air vent or on dash. It tells you your battery voltage, engine temp, mpg, oil service, etc...
