I will look into it. My LR3 has a solid 160,000+ miles on it so I am not too sure it will be worth the $400+ that the IIDTool is right now. However in a few years when I graduate and have some more money to spend I will for sure look into it as the car becomes even more so a toy to me.

All that being said, what are the perks to the IIDTool?

 

And at TRIARII: She's looking good haha. The engine was not touched, the insurance just didm not want to pay for all the damage, which supposedly was actually in the $10,000.

 

The main perks are flexibility with when you want to be taller/stock and the ability to diagnose issues and clear faults. Consider that you'd be buying an IIDTool but NOT rods and the effective cost is more like $300.

If you ever have to replace a height sensor, for instance, you can calibrate with the IIDTool. That pays for it right there!

 

The split 5 spokes were a factory option and unfortunately only available on select '06 vehicles. The sticker on mine says it was manufactured in Dec of '06 and so it was marketed as an '07. I have tried hard to find a matching rim in order to run a full size spare, but it is damn near impossible to find. So I started searching for a set of five and that appears to be no easier and certainly not a cost effective solution (unless I leave winters on these and summers on my set of five, but where I live it's six months to a season if we are lucky, lol).

 

Again Spiderman, your car looks great. Makes me excited to get my tires tomorrow. And that's a shame they are so hard to find because they look great, possibly my favorite LR3 rims.

To all: I just finished installing the lift this morning before it was completely light outside, haha. Early Christmas morning.

I will be getting my tires tomorrow and will more then likely not be plasti dipping my rims during the break, mainly because I do not have the times.

Here's my LR3, almost exactly as you want to set up yours. I got Johnson rods, 265/60/18 hankook dynapro ats, led foglights, narpy grill, expedition rack with aluminum floor, plasti dipped wheels, rear camera in tonga green.

 

Looks awesome. I'm curious how you put in the fog lights

 

It was really easy and cost me less than $15. Do a search for led driving lights lr3 and you should get a link to the install that's on disco3.uk I piggybacked the power from my engine fuse box.

 

Final additions: Got my 275/65r18 Nitto Teera grapplers and I love them. Took them off road around my neighborhood wooded area at Chastain Park. Took it to a car wash and cleaned em off again tire shine and everything. Ended up plasti dipping them anyways. I think it looks absolutely sick. I love it
