Default Block Heater

Does Land Rover make a block heater and/or is there an aftermarket unit that anyone can recommend?

this:

I've got that cold weather pack, but I don't think US cars came with a block heater.

I am hoping I can buy the linked one and get it put in post-delivery. Thanks Jafir.

Yeah, i'm not sure if that's a kit, or just the heater part for a car that already had it, like a Canadian car with cold weather package.

There is a coolant drain plug on the LH rear side of the block that will get removed and replaced by the heater.

The V6 and V8 heaters are different.

Thanks Dave. Is that drain plug existent in ALL engines and does that part number in the link that Jafir posted work for all LR3s (per appropriate V6 or V8 engine) even if they are not installed in the factory?

In other words can I just buy it, and have it installed?

Yeah, the plug is there in all of them, and that heater will go right in. I have never installed one, but I have definitely removed the plug to drain out the block before.

The V6 is a slightly different set up, but still able to add if not fitted.
