Question (Solved) Bluetooth Connects But No Audio

2006 LR3 HSE Premium Audio W/Bluetooth.
My Phone is an iPhone 4s.

I have not recently updated my phone or made any changes to it prior to this issue.

I have not had any issues with the Bluetooth and my iPhone for many years.

Last week I could not get any audio from the phone to come through the Bluetooth system. The phone connects to the car and the radio displays "Phone Connected" When I try to send or receive calls or even try using Siri, The radio will mute whatever I am listening to at the time (normal) and display "Dialing" on the radio if I am making a call but no sound comes through the audio system. The phone shows the Bluetooth icon and looks like it normally does when working through Bluetooth but the person on the other end can't hear me. Within a few seconds, the car will go back to playing the radio as if the call has been ended. The car never drops the actual Bluetooth connection to my phone. I can keep trying over and over again with the same results. Even my contacts show up on the radio display. (I do not ever loose Bluetooth Connectivity)

The Bluetooth system had the 2010 update already installed years ago.

I tried connecting a friends iPhone 5 to the Bluetooth with the same results.
I stopped by the Land Rover Dealer today to talk with a Tech about this and he synced up his Samsung Galaxy to my Bluetooth and we still had the same problem. I have ruled out the phone....

Any ideas or experience with this issue?

Thanks,
X

Sounds like your Bluetooth module has decided to call it quits. Pretty common on all model year LR3's and they can do some pretty strange things once they go out. Only thing that MAY temporarily work is if you unpair your phone, then re-pair it all over again. Code is 2121. Other than that, another visit to your dealer for a new module is in order.

I took it to an independent LR facility to run a fault check. The BT Module was showing a fault. They re programmed the module and now everything is fine !!

Thanks for your responses guy's !!
