Default Brake job question?

Hey guys,
Anything special for an LR3 that I should know about when doing a brake job myslef? I refuse to pay the dealer that ridiculous price when my buddy is a mechanic in his free time and it will only cost me $100 for the pads, $35 for turning the rotors, $18 case of beer and $25 for the steaks.
I am only asking because I thought I read here one time "not" to turn the rotors but I can find the thread.
Any advice? I only have 25K on a 06' SE

I dont think the rotors are turnable they are fairly thin from what I have heard. If they are not warped you can reuse them. Or just put new ones on. You should be able to reuse your rotors with only 25k on them. also you may want to pick up new sensors It is hard to reuse the old ones and if your break light came on you have to put new ones on. They are cheap. I think it was disco mike about the turning but I could be wrong. He would know though.

Thanks for the info. Any good place to buy the brake sensors other than the dealer? My light has not come on yet but I am guessing I should replace them as well.

I recently had my brakes redone and the indy turned my back rotors as opposed to replacing them (he did replace the front rotors though). He replaced all my sensors even though the warning lights did not come on. We just came back from vacation and no problems at all with the brake job.
