Default Broken Wire Passenger Foot Well

I just purchased a 2005 LR3 HSE.

It has multiple warning lights on dash and I am trying to trouble shoot from info on this forum.

I installed new brake switch, disconnected tail lights, hard reset, cleared codes. I have opened the passenger footwell and yes it is wet, found a few corroded connections, a broken wire which I believe I have found the mate.

I also have a red wire and a black wire which I have not found it’s mate. The red and black wires com through the floor boards with a rubber grommet around them, I can grab the wires from the underside of the lr3 and they seem to be going towards the front passenger wheel well.

Anyone know what the red and the black wire are for and where they should be connected in the footwell?

i am sure this is just the start of my trouble shooting...just need to resolve this then move to drivers side footwell and do the same.

thanks for any help.

Brent

Default Broken Wires 2005 Lr3 passenger footwell

The black wire and red wire are wrapped and below the connections.
The wire feeds up into engine bay near the suspension through a hole and comes out into engine bay between air box and fuse box...not sure if this is where it belongs...it is broken and bare.
This is the passenger footwell where the wires come into cabin

My immediate concern is fixing the wires on passenger side foot well...The red an black wires are heavier gauge than the majority of the wires in this area.

lr3 runs very good, I am certain once I find all the broken and corroded wires most codes/warnings will clear and not return.

i have also trickle charged the battery, was new in 2017...tests at 12.6v with lr3 not running, tested 12.9v with lr3 running.

i removed transmission control module behind the battery ad cleaned all the pins with electric cleaner and put dielectric grease on all connections in battery area. There was signs of corrosion on a couple pins...I am hoping the module is ok but I want to fix all broken wires and corroded wires before a consider the transmission control module as a problem.

i have the following warnings:
-transmission fault traction reduced
-hdc fault system unavailable
-system fault special programs unavailable
-special programs off
-suspension light
-lr3 is also stuck in low range
-suspension is down
-park brake will not release when trying to drive, I have to manually release it

Default Broken wires continued...2005 lr3 passenger side

Bottom 2 wires wrapped. Black and a white

2 wires going up into engine bay

The wires come from the passenger side footwell where they are broken off, through a rubber grommet in the floor and then the come back up into the wheel well behind the plastic shrowd of the wheel well. They follow the other wiring and go up into the engine bay through a hole that is between fuse box and air box...broken at that point.

Are the red and the black wires even factory wires? There seems to be a power cable running through this area that would be for a stereo amp.

I will look at mine, but the red and black wires do not appear to be factory wiring.

Yeah, I second that: it doesn't look like factory wiring. Especially being run through the wheelwell like that and up a hole with no grommet.
