Can the GAP tool indicate readiness for smog testing?
I recently launched a thread asking about how much driving I needed to do after a code clear before I wouldn't fail a smog test simply because not enough miles, cycles, or time had elapsed (see "Cal. smog testing: drive cycles, running time, miles from last code clear"), but I now think I'm asking the wrong question. I have a GAP tool (which is how I did the code clear after recording the scan) so maybe the solution is to use that same tool to gauge readiness for emissions testing. I recall seeing messages during various scans over the years about "did not test for XXXX" but those all seemed to be about unimportant stuff like whether the built-in cell phone hookup is working (which no one has used since flip phones were all the rage during the GW Bush administration). Nothing that I can remember that indicated something definitive like "All emissions checks complete". Is there a non-obvious function that does that? Alternatively, I have a Blue Driver scanner that I use for my other OBDII vehicles, though not for my 2006 HSE. Does that have a readiness function for an LR3?

Worst case scenario Advance Auto or Autozone can tell you if the parameters are set for free with their readers
Edit: also bluedriver's site sounds like it can tell you

Here is a post from GAP Diagnostics on expedition portal from 2017:
"Emissions readiness monitors is just one of many items on our to-do list. It is not a requirement in our major markets and as such has not received highest priority.
It may seem basic and simple from the outside, but for us it involves quite a bit of work to implement, test, and validate across all models. We have to place priorities and decide what functions and features will make our customer base most happy - and some items simply end up being lower on the list than others.
We are a small company - we really do our best... Sorry. We'll get to it as soon as we can."
you might want to reach out to them directly for any updates?
