I had trouble with the link, too. Just a couple of extra spaces in it. Try this: DISCO3.CO.UK Photo Gallery - Last additions/New Hitch

Than hitch looks strong but also home made looking and does not seem to be removable easily. If you have a really heavy load that the other hitches can't handle I guess it would be good. I like to take mine off and have a normal looking bumper when not in use. If that's not stainless its going to corrode up and look ever more shoddy.

Zinc treated and Painted black. 3 Bolts to remove. Absolutely could do stainless, but stainless is very expensive.

It is heavy duty, the main complaints about the existing hitch seems to be, not heavy duty enough to tow regularly (Land Rover) now suggests it's "plow" is really intended for occasional use only. Off road folks would be more prone to appreciate the fact it's not to low.

The plow hitches (all 3 versions) have a reputation of breaking, getting stuck on, and problems like that. It's not for everyone for sure.

Pictured is the first model, the final product will be slicker of course. Just looking for feedback. It will be sent in for DOT certification as well in November.

I think it could be a great product. But I would do one version in stainless for sure. I went stainless on my ball and lock rod and would never go back to regular steel. I'll pay more for having it look like new all the time. All my other hitches just got ugly looking with corrosion. So why not do one in stainless and another in zinc? Some people will pay the cost difference. And that amount of stainless in the hitch is really not that much. It wont add that much to the cost.

Have you factored in the need different heights? That ball would be way to high for my boat.

You said 3 bolts. Did you tie into the existing holes for the trailer chain hooks underneath and then tied into the center tow hook up top?

I can't really see much from that picture in terms of where its fastened down.

Hit the right above the pic it shows another view

I think it looks commercially made, if too high you can buy a drop ball to use with it from the pic

needs chain loops though , I assume you hook the chains to that tow shackle? IMO not a good idea if that's the case

Will this be cheaper then the rover one? 3-400 for the factory one is obsurd IMO saw a used factory one on Craig's list under 200

I think the intent is that the top look would be a recovery point, and the existing safety chain hooks would be used. I'll have another look at this and confirm that with engineers.

Retail 395 is the plan.

Scheduled with a Certification company 1st week November.

The final production model is off to paint and rust proofing, looks a lot slicker / cleaner. The welds are awesome.

A drop hitch receiver would be used to achieve your preferred height.

It won't interfere with your spare, currently with the stock one for example I can't fit the factory hitch without dropping the spare, because I have 285x60x18's. That's a real hassle.

Keep it coming..
