CarTronics Itronic BlueTooth
After looking at the Parrot devices (MKi9200) I had decided this would be the best bang for the buck with my 2005 LR3 (Navigation HU). Unfortunately, I learned that there is not a factory interface for the LR (Fiber Optics system) and many of the Parrots functions would not work such as the auto mute etc. when hard wired which brings me to a company I stumbled across through my many google searches. MoBridge.
Cartronicsinc has developed a unit called the iTronic (uses the parrot chipset) for the LR3 that offers full bluetooth integration and utilizes the factory HU etc. The prices is awfully expensive in my opinion at $864 dollars for the DIY. I wanted to see if anyone else has tried out this kit and/or found an alternative. I currently plug my iPhone into the auxiliary and conduct my phone calls hand free via cable. I was hoping not to go over the $400 price point since I currently have a less desirable alternative. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions.
The website for Cartronics has quite a few more items and possibly we could see if there would be a group purchase option.
