Default Changed the air filter and instantly CEL came on...

So I busted out my Carsoft i930 scanner which gives me:
P0441 evap emission purge flow
P0420 catalyst system below threshold
P0171 & P174 too lean
P0196 oil temp sensor
P0116 coolant temp performance

About 2 weeks prior to this I changed my oil with no problems and scanned for errors at that time. None of the above errors were there.

So I cleaned the MAF as well as throttle body hoping that would solve the problem. I cleared the codes but as soon as I started her up again, CEL comes right back on with the exact same codes. I see no difference in temp while driving and my oil is right at the max level per the dipstick.

I replaced my PCV valve about 10,000 miles ago and my gas cap is tight with a good seal. Ive been alternating a tank of 87 ethanol free gas with 91 regular gas for months as well.

In searching this site it seems that a purge valve and/or EGR valve could be to blame. I have not replaced either of those and honestly dont know what they do, however I think I have just enough mechanical skill to change them if need be. But with the purge valve being $400 and an EGR kit being $310 at Atlantic British, I cant afford to just throw parts at the problem hoping it will fix it.

I am stumped with how an air filter change can be the instigator on these codes. But I will take any all advice on how I should address this...

Thank you in advance.

Default Oem

It was an oem filter. When I bought her she had a k&n which of course fried my MAF sensor. I've been running the oem filter and new MAF sensor for about 30,000 miles. I'm stumped..

Next on the list is to check the battery for proper voltage...

Did you do the ol' hold both battery cables together (with battery disconnected) for 2 min? That's how I tried to suss out certain codes before I got a GAP tool.

How careful were you with the MAF cleaning? There used to be a few threads about people cleaning them and then they failed.

Otherwise no clue about your group of codes. I'm stumped.
