Default Check those Battery Cables

So the truck has been running great. Other than changing the oil/filter and washing and detailing, no substantial wrenching going on. I had an appointment yesterday afternoon. I finished up and went down to the underground parking, hit the unlock button and jumped into the truck. I shut the door and everything went dark, everything, no lights, buzzers, nothing. I figured that it must have been a battery cable of ground cable somewhere. I popped the hood, removed the battery cover and checked the positive cable, tight as could be. I checked the ground cable and it had some play in it, I twisted it a tad and viola, lights and power. I drove home, a bit nervous that it would loosen up on the freeway. Got home without a hitch. I loosened and reset that cable clamp and tightened it up. It looked like that clamp may not have been seated all of the way down the last time that it was reconnected. You might just check the cables on your batteries before you head out on the next big adventure to the mountains or just the grocery store. Losing power on the highway or trail would not have been much fun and could have been really dangerous. All the best. Phil
