Default Coilover conversion question

Hey now,

I'm new to owning Land Rover's and picked up a 06LR3 at auction for cheap because it had hit a curb. Fixed the immediate damage and aligned it perfectly but it has a blown shock on that corner- the problem is that someone already did the coil-over conversion on this rig and I'm not sure what to buy in order to replace that shock. is it just the standard shock that is available on rock auto for non air LR3's or do they do something special with the kits?

Thanks for the help guys. I tried to search it out but my google-fu is not very good.

If you check the panel in the driver's side under the steering wheel you should see a box spliced into the wiring to prevent errors with the conversion. If it's orange it's an Atlantic British kit. Also if the coils are blue it's most likely the Atlantic British kit as well or should have a decal on the strut saying Atlantic British.

You hate to assume but it's most likely stock height and not the 2" lift conversion

They are black springs, and I'll look under there for a box. but I still have suspension error on the dash along with special programs disabled and a yellow truck lit on the dash, if it is stock height I could theoretically get the quick struts on rockauto?

If you have suspension errors showing on a coil converted LR3 and there's no bypass mod box by the suspension control module, then there's really no telling what they put on the truck. Likely the cheapest they could find tbh. If there is no stamp/sticker or something else to id the shocks/coils, you'll probly just have replace components on both sides and see how it goes. In this case, yeah, I'd go with a half decent brand on Rockauto or wherever.

Thank you! I'm just going to order the rear quick struts and hope I don't have the 2.5 lift Thanks!

I believe the owners manual has the roof height listed in it. Could always go out with a tape measure and get a potential confirmation that way
